Virtual University MS in Computer Science


Every year Virtual University of Pakistan offers admission in MS (Computer Science) Programme. Department of Comptuer Science of VU is offering MS (CS) at Islamabad Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan,Gujranwala, Sialkot and Faisalabad. The key features and important instructions of the program are summarized here:
  • MS CS is a 02 years programme. 
  • To get final degree of Master of Science in Computer Science, completion of 24-credit hours course work program and six-credit hour thesis research with minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of  4 is compulsory.
  • There are four semesters and every semester is the 18 week of duration. 
  • MSCS is a research based degree level program. 
  • Virtual Univeristy offering MSCS to Pakistani Students only and overseas student can't get admission in this program. If someone went abroad after admission he or she has to withdraw from the course. 
Eligibility:
A candiate who possess 16-year education of BS in Computer Science, BS in Information Technology,  Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons),  Master of Computer Science (MCS),  Master of Information Technology (MIT), M.Sc (CS) as well as 16 years education holders in Computer Engineering with condition to cover deficieny courses is eligible to apply for the admission in MS (Computer Science) porgramme of Virtual University of Pakistan. Other conditions are:

  • Degrees must be recognized by HEC and Government of Pakistan.
  • GPA is not considered 
  • 2.50 out of 4 or 1st Division holders only.

Job description:

It is announced in the above mentioned advertisement that The training programs in Epidemiology and public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET), providing logistical support to the field Epidemiology and laboratory Training programs (FELTP) Pakistan and centers for Disease control and prevention (CDC),seeks to recruit three Medical officers as consultant to coordinate activities related to viral to hepatitis prevention and control in Pakistan. Medial Officers as will work in close collaboration with the world health organization (who), Pakistan Medical Research Council (PMRC) FELT and CDC.

There are three posts in these cities Karachi Lahore Islamabad and Required Qualification and Experience as per details given below.
  • Must possess an equivalent of a certificate medical degree MD or MBBS recognized by the Pakistan medical and Dental council (PMDC).
  • Must possess Master degree in public Health with at least two years of experience.
  • Must possess documented history of successfully supervisory and project management skills .
  • Must possess Computer skills (Microsoft office) and adequte data analysis skills to include creating and updating databases and generating weekly /month activity reports.
  • Must possess excellent writing skills.
  • Must be willing to attend trainings or other meetings provided by the contractor.
  • Travel may be required up to 30% throughout Pakistan .
  • Experience in viral hepatitis epidemiology.care and treatment is desirable.
